Architalktural is an architect's personal blog website based in the Philippines. The topics discussed in this blog are mostly about sustainable architecture and the arts, written by the author, who is an avid supporter of environmental and sustainability advocacy. He is passionate about discussing how the green building principles can transform our sustainable built environment. Drawing from his education and experiences, he shares his personal insights that resonate with people from all walks of life, making sustainability accessible beyond technical circles. He wants to reach out to fellow architects, students, professionals, clients/homeowners and even his avid readers alike, and create writings geared towards an easy understanding and awareness of sustainability in every aspect of life. For him, simply putting a sprinkle of sustainability in our daily walk leaves a great impact on building a brighter and greener future.
ABOUT THE ARCHITECT / AUTHOR
Architect Joey Castaneda, the author and founder of "Architalktural", is a PRC-registered and Licensed Architect in the Philippines and a member of the United Architects of the Philippines. He is a graduate of B. S. Architecture at Adamson University and completed certificate level course in Sustainable Architecture. Arch Joey has over 30 years of diversified experience in the architecture and construction industry, spanning both the private and government sectors. His involvement in commercial and industrial projects, both locally and internationally, has earned him extensive experience and knowledge in applying the principles of Sustainable Architecture and Green Building. In his private practice as a senior architect, he currently offers architectural consultancy services, conceptual design, and site analysis. He is also pursuing environmental advocacy through his artworks, creative writing, and active participation in cultural heritage conservation activities.
