ABOUT THE WEBSITE:
Architalktural is an architect's personal blog website based in the Philippines. Articles in this blog are mostly about sustainable architecture and arts, with the author's insights based on his studies and work experiences. However, he doesn't consider himself an expert except as a supporter of environmental and sustainability advocates. He wants to reach out to fellow architects, students, professionals, clients, and homeowners alike, and create writings geared towards an easy understanding and awareness of sustainability in every aspect of life. For him, simply putting a sprinkle of sustainability in our daily walk leaves a great impact in making this world a better place to live in, with blessings that will be enjoyed in the long run.
ABOUT THE ARCHITECT, AUTHOR
Architect Joey Castaneda, the author and founder of Architalktural, is a PRC-registered and Licensed Architect in the Philippines and a member of the United Architects of the Philippines. He is a graduate of B. S. Architecture at Adamson University and pursued further studies in Sustainable Architecture at Alison. Arch Joey has over 30 years of diversified experience in the architecture and construction industry, spanning both the private and government sectors. His involvement in commercial and industrial projects, both locally and internationally, has earned him extensive experience and knowledge in applying the principles of Sustainable Architecture and Green Building. As a senior architect, he currently offers architectural consultancy services, conceptual design, and site analysis. He is also pursuing environmental advocacy through his artworks, creative writing, and active participation in cultural heritage conservation activities.
